Required Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Valid RN license in Alaska
• Telemetry experience within the last year
• 2 years of telemetry experience
• BLS
• PALS
• ACLS
• ENPC
• Experience in supervisory roles

Preferred Experience

• One year of experience in a health care setting as a Registered Nurse

Role Summary

• Provides patient care using the nursing process
• Coordinates nursing care and collaborates with other healthcare professionals
• Cares for patients across the lifespan, from birth to elderly
• Applies age-specific considerations and cultural diversity in patient care

Key Skills and Responsibilities

• Administers treatments and medications
• Interprets diagnostic tests
• Provides patient and family education
• Uses basic EKG skills
• Communicates effectively in oral and written form
• Documents care and follows guidelines and procedures
• Works flexibly within prescribed limits and can act independently when appropriate

Supervision

• Supervises unit secretaries and PCTs in collaboration with the Charge Nurse
