Job Opportunity: Radiologic Technologist - Cardiac Cath Lab with Electrophysiology (EP) Study

Location

  • Phoenix, Arizona

Employment Type

  • Contract
  • Duration: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

  • Day shift, Monday through Thursday
  • Typical hours: 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Closed on Labor Day (09/07)
  • Case dependent schedule
  • Scrubbing high-tech cardiovascular cases and mobile C-arm capabilities required

Job Summary

Perform a variety of technical imaging procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab, including cardiovascular arterial and venous studies such as vascular angiography, angioplasty, arteriography, electrophysiology, hemodynamic measurements, and pacemaker/AICD insertion and replacements. Responsible for all imaging aspects in the Cath Lab room and maintaining equipment functionality.

Essential Functions

  • Manage inventory and supply chain under facility PAR levels
  • Monitor per case expenses and suggest cost-saving ideas
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation agency rules
  • Troubleshoot fluoroscopy and ultrasound equipment
  • Recognize and minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff
  • Follow AIDET communication framework (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank You)
  • Maintain teamwork and cohesiveness within the department
  • Provide radiation safety input to support accreditation requirements
  • Perform all duties according to established policies, procedures, and professional standards
  • Deliver excellent customer service to patients, staff, and interdisciplinary team members

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, including experience within the last year
  • Experience as an Electrophysiology Technician
  • Certification in one of the following: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), or Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
