Registered Nurse (RN) ICU – Long-Term Assignment

Location: Maywood, Illinois
Shift: Day Shift, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Schedule: 36 hours per week, every third weekend
Unit: Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)

Job Details

Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (12 weeks)
Specialty: ICU Nursing
Work Environment: Critical care setting requiring advanced clinical skills

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Illinois
Minimum 1 year of Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) experience within the last year
BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Additional Information

All certifications and licenses must be uploaded as scanned copies showing front and back of cards with expiration dates.
Drug screen results must be signed by a Medical Review Officer (MRO) before start.
Documentation must be uploaded into the credentialing system prior to onboarding.
Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.

Pros

Some of the staff are nice and helpful. Pretty big department.

Cons

Assignments can be heavy, got told I would be Neo/Peds, but I get floated everywhere (adults floors/ICU). Have to pay to park ($2/day) in further garage or $5 in closer garage. And the worst is 8hr assignments!
