Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU Night Shift

Location: Maywood, Illinois
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Schedule: 36 hours/week, every third weekend
Unit: Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)

Contract Details

Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Length: 12 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Illinois
Minimum 1 year of Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) nursing experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Job Description Highlights

Work in a 4NW MICU unit on night shift
Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients
Follow all required certifications and protocols for ICU nursing
Adhere to all health and safety requirements including immunizations and screenings
Maintain compliance with all professional and facility-specific documentation and forms

Pros

Some of the staff are nice and helpful. Pretty big department.

Cons

Assignments can be heavy, got told I would be Neo/Peds, but I get floated everywhere (adults floors/ICU). Have to pay to park ($2/day) in further garage or $5 in closer garage. And the worst is 8hr assignments!
