Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Work Schedule:
- Part-time, 24 hours per week
- Day Shift: Monday & Wednesday, 7:30 AM – 8:00 PM
Job Description
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities include operating radiographic equipment, positioning patients, and capturing high-quality images for interpretation by radiologists or healthcare providers. This role involves direct patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform various diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs as ordered.
- Prepare and position patients, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Explain procedures and address patient questions to reduce anxiety.
- Operate and adjust imaging equipment for optimal image quality.
- Follow radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using electronic medical records (EMR).
- Troubleshoot technical issues with imaging equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology (mandatory)
- Valid Radiologic Technologist state license (Massachusetts) required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an X-Ray Technician, with experience within the last year
- Proven radiology technology experience totaling at least 1 year
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing and walking (34-66% of the time)
- Occasional sitting (3-33% of the time)
- Frequent lifting of 35 lbs or more (34-66% of the time)
Contract Length
- Approximately 13 weeks
Additional Onboarding & Compliance Requirements
- Documentation of immunizations or proof of immunity for MMR (measles, mumps, rubella)
- TB test documentation within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test)
- Physician health statement within 1 year of start date
- Criminal background checks and CORI (Massachusetts) background check
- Verification of education and professional licenses
- Skills checklist completion within 1 year
- Respirator fit testing and medical clearance (N95) within 1 year
- Submission of references and detailed resume covering past 7 years of work experience
- Various professional and health attestations as required for onboarding
