Registered Nurse – Telemetry I

Location: Salem, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Unit: 41-bed Medical Telemetry Unit
Shift: 36 hours per week, rotating days/evenings/nights

• Day shifts rotate every other week between 7a-7p, 11a-11p, and 7p-7a
• Night shifts are straight nights

Job Description

• Provide nursing care on a medical telemetry unit with a patient population including cardiac, respiratory, metabolic, psychiatric, substance use disorder, genitourinary, and gastrointestinal conditions
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Manage cardiac drips, TR bands, and high-flow oxygen
• Floating to other applicable units as needed
• Clinician-to-patient ratio:

  • Days: 1:4-5
  • Evenings & Nights: 1:5-6
• Charting system: EPIC

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

• Primary source verification of license and certifications required within 30 days of start date and updated upon expiration
• No religious or medical exemptions allowed for fit testing
• Background checks include international residence/travel disclosures for the past 7 years
• Documentation of name changes required if credentials do not match legal name

This position is ideal for experienced telemetry RNs comfortable with rotating shifts and managing complex cardiac patients in a fast-paced telemetry unit. Prior travel nursing experience is mandatory.
