Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (Travel)

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Pediatric ICU or Neonatal ICU
• Must hold Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential

Required Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (American Heart Association)
• PALS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS (American Heart Association)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program, AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics)
• Current Respiratory Therapist license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start
• Driver’s License/State ID (valid, must match address requirements)

Required Health & Immunization Documentation

• MMR: Proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
• Fit Test: Required for all travelers, preferred prior to start
• Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination
• Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31), exemptions accepted with mask requirement
• TB Screening: Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within one year, and annual TB questionnaire
• Varicella: Proof of two vaccines, immunity, or history verified by healthcare provider (no declinations accepted)
• Tdap: Valid within 10 years, no declinations accepted
• Health Statement: Completed physical exam or statement of good health prior to first assignment, updated annually
• 2 Step PPD or IGRA within required timeframes

Required Background & Verification

• Criminal Background Check including Social Security Trace, Employment Verification, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and other checks within 30 days of assignment start
• Employment Verification: Third-party verification for past 7 years, updated annually
• Education Verification: Relevant education verified within 90 days of start
• Professional References: At least two professional references completed prior to first assignment
• Drug Screen: 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• EPLS (Exclusionary Provider List System) check within 90 days of start

Onboarding & Testing Requirements

• Ascension Specialty Exam: Completed prior to first assignment, minimum 80% passing score, updated every 3 years
• Ascension Core Competencies: HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics; completed within one year and updated yearly, minimum 80% passing score
• Ascension Skills Checklist: Clinical skills checklist completed within one year of start, updated annually
• Ascension RT Contract Worker Onboarding Education Attestation: 6 hours pre-hire education with signed attestation required
