Job Description

Seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery with experience in a high-volume delivery service environment. The role requires clinical expertise in perinatal care and fetal monitoring.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification or experience
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification or experience
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing school
• Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients

Onboarding and Compliance Requirements

• Current and verifiable nursing license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start

• Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start

• Submission of professional resume/profile and at least two professional references

• Completion of specialty competency exams and skills checklists demonstrating competency in Labor and Delivery

• Completion of required onboarding modules and attestations prior to or at start

• Background checks including criminal, employment, and EPLS within required timeframes

• Health and immunization documentation including:

  • MMR (two vaccines or positive titer, no declinations accepted)
  • Varicella (two vaccines, serological evidence, or verified history, no declinations accepted)
  • Tdap (valid within 10 years, no declinations accepted)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
  • Influenza vaccine (optional, with mask requirement if declined during flu season)
  • TB screening (2-step PPD or IGRA, chest x-ray if positive, annual questionnaire)
  • Fit test for respiratory protection (preferred prior to start)
  • Drug screening (12-panel) within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter
  • Statement of good health or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually

• Valid, unexpired Driver’s License or State ID matching address requirements

Summary

This position is ideal for experienced Labor and Delivery RNs with strong clinical skills in perinatal care and fetal monitoring, holding all required certifications and licenses. The assignment is a 13-week long-term contract with a night shift schedule. Compliance with comprehensive onboarding, health, and background requirements is mandatory.
