Job Opportunity: Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg / Med Surg/Telemetry (Days)

Location: Rock Island, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide professional and clinical nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
• Patient ratio approximately 1:5-6.
• Work schedule: 36-40 hours per week, with overtime billable after 40 hours.
• Orientation available on scheduled dates throughout the year.
• Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license for Illinois.
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg nursing experience required.
• ACLS certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission.
• Work history/resume, license verification, copy of required certifications, and one supervisory reference required at time of submission.
• Must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility.

Preferred Qualifications

• Stepdown/Cardiac experience preferred (traveler may float to Stepdown unit as needed).
• First-time travelers accepted.

Additional Information

• OT/Holiday pay multiplier: 1.15x
• Call back pay multiplier: 1.5x with 2-hour minimum
• On-call pay available
• Charge/Precept pay available

Notes for Candidates

• This is a temporary assignment with a 13-week contract length.
• Prior travel experience is not required.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced hospital environment with flexibility to float within the discipline.
