Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg Travel Assignment

Job Requirements

• Specialty Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years current Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) nursing experience (highest required)
  • Telemetry experience required
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (AHA) - must have at profile upload (facility will not pend)
  • BLS (AHA) - must have at profile upload (facility will not pend)
  • NIHSS - must have at profile upload (facility will not pend)
  • Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly required
• Skills & Qualifications:

  • Willingness to float to any Med Surg unit (floating required)
  • Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
  • Must have own vehicle for assignment
  • Must include permanent address in profile (travelers residing within 50 miles of facility will not be considered)
• Profile Submission Requirements:

  • Work history
  • Skills checklist relevant to position, current within 1 year
  • One supervisory signed reference from within the past 2 years of employment
  • All required licenses and certifications uploaded with profile
  • At least two specific interview dates/times of availability (no "anytime")
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be noted and verified at profile upload; no more than 5 days of RTO allowed
  • Scheduling requests must be made at time of submission; no scheduling requests accepted after offer

Additional Information

• Unit size ranges from 20 to 34 beds
• Typical patient ratio: 1:6
• Dress code: Personal scrubs of any color
• Orientation: 8 hours non-billable
• Holiday and overtime multipliers apply
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required

Licensing

• Must have Massachusetts RN license in hand at profile upload (facility will not pend license)

Notes

• Travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
• Strict adherence to submission and scheduling requirements is mandatory to avoid offer rescindment

This assignment is ideal for experienced Med Surg RNs with telemetry skills who are flexible and able to float across units, hold required certifications, and can commit to a 13-week travel contract in Massachusetts.
