Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg (Days)

Location: Pittsfield, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Temporary Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Must submit requested time off (RTO) at time of profile upload; no RTO requests will be approved after submission.
• Maximum of 5 days RTO allowed during assignment (less is preferred).
• Must provide at least two specific interview dates/times (no "anytime" availability).
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered.
• Must have own vehicle for assignment.
• Block scheduling is not allowed.
• 8-hour non-billable orientation required.
• Holiday and overtime pay multipliers apply.
• Dress code: personal scrubs of any color.
• Patient ratio typically 1:6.
• Unit size ranges from 20 to 34 beds depending on unit.

Requirements

• Specialty: Medical-Surgical Nursing
• Experience: Minimum 2 years current Medical-Surgical experience (highest required)
• Telemetry experience is required.
• Willingness to float to any Medical-Surgical unit is required.
• Completion of Basic Dysrhythmia course is strongly required.
• Meditech Expanse experience is strongly preferred.
• Must have current certifications at profile upload:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• Must hold a valid Massachusetts RN license.
• Must include permanent address in profile to verify distance requirement.
• Must provide work history and skills checklist relevant to Medical-Surgical nursing (within past year).
• Must provide one supervisory signed reference from within the past two years.

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
