Required qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in Massachusetts
• Physical Therapy Assistant (1 year of experience)
• Physical Therapy Assistant experience within the last year
• Experience in a(n) Long Term Care setting

Key responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative treatment under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist
• Use manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and supportive or assistive devices as part of the rehabilitation plan
• Assess patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Document required clinical information and treatment minutes in the electronic documentation system
• Participate in required meetings, trainings, in-services, and conferences
• Help obtain necessary DME or supplies with the supervising Physical Therapist
• Supervise and support students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist
• Follow APTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
