Job Overview
- Location: Newport News, Virginia
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Unit: Critical care float pool for ICU settings, including Surgical ICU, Medical ICU, Cardiac Care Unit, and Oncology ICU
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Virginia
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS
- Float experience
Schedule Expectations
- Every other weekend required, including Saturday and Sunday
- May be scheduled to work holidays during the assignment
- Flexible scheduling preferred
Clinical Setting
- Float assignment across critical care units
- Patient populations include traumatic injuries, surgical complications, neuro patients, cardiac procedure monitoring, oncology critical care, DKA, and alcohol withdrawal cases
