Critical Care Float

Job Overview

Location: Newport News, Virginia
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Hours: 36 hours per week
Contract length: 13 weeks
Unit: Critical care float pool for ICU settings, including Surgical ICU, Medical ICU, Cardiac Care Unit, and Oncology ICU

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
ACLS
Float experience

Schedule Expectations

Every other weekend required, including Saturday and Sunday
May be scheduled to work holidays during the assignment
Flexible scheduling preferred

Clinical Setting

Float assignment across critical care units
Patient populations include traumatic injuries, surgical complications, neuro patients, cardiac procedure monitoring, oncology critical care, DKA, and alcohol withdrawal cases
