Radiation Therapist - Travel/Contract
Location: Edmonds, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Schedule Options:
- 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM or 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM)
- 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
- No weekends, no call, no floating required
- Start Date: ASAP
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiation Therapist license in Washington
- Minimum 2 years of Radiation Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel assignment as a Radiation Therapist
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Social Security Card (as applicable)
- Background Check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
- Education Verification (degree/diploma/transcript as applicable)
- Employment Application covering at least last 5 years
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment within last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Physical Exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation
- Drug Screen: 9-panel within 12 months of start (instant acceptable)
- Immunizations and Health Requirements:
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years (declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal Flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
- COVID-19 vaccination record preferred (declinations not required)
- Respirator Safety Clearance (RespSafety) required annually for travel candidates
- Annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS required
Additional Notes
- Radiation badges issued by facility (not required pre-hire)
- Float policy acknowledgment required; may be asked to float to nearby facilities
- WA State Patrol background search required within 90 days of start for Washington placements
- Epic training modules must be completed within a week of orientation; transcripts required
- Photo for badge required (passport style, neutral background)
- Candidates must complete all required Workramp training modules annually unless returning within a year with no gap
This position is ideal for experienced Radiation Therapists with prior travel contract experience who are proficient with Epic and seeking a day-shift schedule without weekends or call.
