Physical Therapist - Outpatient (Travel/Contract)

Location: Billings, Montana
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Employment Type: Travel/Contract

  • Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (8:00 AM – 6:30 PM)
  • Total Hours per Week: 40

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in Montana
  • Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year
  • Experience in an outpatient setting

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

  • Valid government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport)
  • Background checks including:
    • 7-year criminal background check (must be renewed annually)
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
    • HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
  • Education verification of highest level completed
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, or PA, confirming good health and ability to perform job duties
  • Negative drug screen within 30 days of start, renewed annually (9-panel plus additional substances)
  • Immunizations and health screenings required:
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (annual renewal)
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years or signed declination (Td not accepted)
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella: Positive IGG titer or 2 vaccines (boosters required if titers low/equivocal)
    • Hepatitis B: Positive IGG titer, 3-dose vaccine series, or declination within last year
    • Varicella: Positive IGG titer or 2 vaccines (boosters required if titers low/equivocal)
    • Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 31 - Mar 31) or approved exemption
    • COVID-19 vaccination series or approved medical/religious exemption
  • Quantitative fit mask test with 3M mask within 90 days prior to start (qualitative tests not accepted; must be clean-shaven; annual renewal)
  • Two professional references required, including one direct supervisor reference within the last year (letters accepted)
  • Current employment application covering 7 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days

Additional Notes

  • Prior travel experience is required: candidate must have at least 1 year of prior Physical Therapy experience (this includes travel experience)
  • All certifications and licenses must be in the candidate’s current legal name; proof of name change documents required if applicable
  • Locals within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
