Overview

• Travel/contract RN position in Saint Louis, Missouri
• Night shift: 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Can sign for 36 or 48 hours per week
• Unit: Medical Surgical-Neuro
• Patient ratio: 1:4–5
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Med Surg (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• IV Certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience in Charge roles

Schedule and Assignment Details

• Every other weekend required
• May float within the service line
• No block scheduling
• No on-call
• No local candidates; home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility
• No more than 7 days of requested time off
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks

Unit Notes

• General medical-surgical experience preferred
• Common patient populations include neurological and neuromuscular disorders, MS, ALS, GBS, stroke, epilepsy, infections, and tumors
• Common procedures and skills include lumbar puncture, lumbar drains, Foley care, IV starts, G-tubes, and tracheostomies
• Bladder ultrasound equipment used
