<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs</li><li>Hours: 36 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Nov 16, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 4</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Dept RN for a night shift assignment requiring a CA RN license, CPI Blue certification, and prior ER experience.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Emergency Department setting serving combined adult/pediatric population, non-trauma</li><li>Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)</li><li>Patient ratio of 1:4</li><li>On-call and float responsibilities as needed</li><li>STEMI and Stroke Certified facility</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active CA RN license required in-hand when applying (EMSA not accepted)</li><li>CPI Blue Card from the Crisis Prevention Institute required in-hand (MAB or online CPI Blue not accepted)</li><li>Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS (CPI and MAB preferred)</li><li>Minimum 2 years of ER experience required</li><li>Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required</li><li>Community hospital experience required; teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred</li><li>EPIC EMR experience required and must be documented in work history</li><li>Two supervisor references required</li><li>Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, 12-lead EKG, IV therapy, central line care, blood product administration, and emergency medication administration</li><li>Experience with ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tube care, and ABG interpretation preferred</li><li>Experience managing psychiatric, trauma, and pediatric emergency presentations</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Provide emergency nursing care across a broad range of adult and pediatric cases including trauma, cardiac, neurological, respiratory, and psychiatric emergencies</li><li>Perform triage and apply isolation precautions/PPE as needed</li><li>Previous charge nurse experience preferred</li><li>Modules and competency testing completed during orientation and annually (UC Learning Center and EpicU modules)</li><li>Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates</li><li>Prior travel nursing experience required unless otherwise noted</li><li>Returning staff must have been gone a minimum of 1 year to be eligible as a traveler</li><li>No requested time off (RTO) permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment, with a maximum of 7 days RTO preferred per 13-week contract</li></ul>
