Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Dededo, Guam
• Acute care facility with adult trauma level II designation
• 13-week assignment
• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour shifts, day or night
• Travelers are scheduled primarily on one shift and cannot request a shift preference

Required Qualifications

• Active Compact or Guam RN license in hand at time of submittal
• Passport in hand required
• 5 years of experience required
• ACLS
• BLS
• Conscious sedation training
• NIH Stroke Scale training
• Advanced NRP
• PALS
• Must be able to work every other weekend
• Holidays are required
• Local candidates residing in Guam are not accepted
• Must be able to complete onsite pass/fail testing during orientation

Schedule and Assignment Notes

• RTO is limited to no more than 3 consecutive days and no more than 7 days total in the 13-week contract
• Block scheduling is unit-dependent
• Overtime is not guaranteed and is at management discretion
• Travelers should be prepared to pick up additional shifts based on census
• Travelers should plan to arrive by the Thursday before start at the latest

Compliance and Onboarding

• Background check required before start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit test within 1 year prior to start and renewed annually
• Negative TB screening within 1 year of start, with annual TB questionnaire if applicable
• Immunization/documentation requirements include measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, varicella, flu, and COVID-related documentation or declination/exemption as applicable
• Drug screen required before start
• Work history verification for the last 10 years
• Professional references required
• Skills checklist required annually

• Cath Lab/OR/PACU scrubs are provided
• Parking is free
• Charting system: Allscripts/Sunrise
• Flights are not reimbursed
• Client may cancel 3 shifts per 13-week assignment
