Job Opportunity: PTA Outpatient (Travel/Contract)

Location: Taylorville, Illinois

Position Details

• Shift: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
• Patient Load: Approximately 9 visits per day
• Facility Size: 25 beds, outpatient clinic setting
• Charting System: Cerner
• Dress Code: Business casual or professional athletic attire; no specific scrub color required
• Weekend Requirement: No
• On-call Requirement: No
• Floating: No floating outside scope of practice
• Locals Accepted: Yes, no radius restrictions
• Block Scheduling: Possible, discuss with manager

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in Illinois
• Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapy Assistant experience within the last year
• BLS certification
• Experience in an outpatient clinic setting
• Experience taking vital signs
• Documentation skills including discharge and short-term goals
• Professional knowledge of home exercise programs, lifting and transfer techniques, and recognizing signs and symptoms of psychological abuse

• Must be able to perform all duties within PTA scope of practice

Compliance & Onboarding Requirements

• Background checks covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
• Drug screening (9-panel) within 30 days of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, including labs
• Immunizations or proof of immunity for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• TB test (2-step PPD, TSPOT, or Qgold) within 1 year of start
• Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually
• Competency exam required for all clinical candidates
• Photo for badge within one week of signing contract
• Various state-specific criminal and registry checks required within 30 days of start
• Fingerprinting must be completed in Illinois 3 business days prior to start (if no active IL license)

Prior Travel Experience

• No prior travel experience required; first-time travelers accepted
