Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (MS/Tele) - Travel/Contract

Location: Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin
Shift: 3x12 hour shifts, Nights
Weekends: Every Other Weekend
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse with MS/Tele specialty for a travel/contract position. The role requires the ability to interpret and sign off on telemetry strips.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience working with Pediatric patients
• Experience working with Neonate patients
• Experience in an inpatient setting
• Ability to interpret and sign off telemetry strips

Work Schedule

• Night shifts, 3 shifts per week (12 hours each)
• Every other weekend required

Background and Health Requirements

• 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative QGold TB test within 1 year (Chest X-Ray acceptable if within 60 days)
• Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen with expanded opiates within 14 days before start
• Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (October to March)
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella

Additional Requirements

• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Skills checklist required annually
• Photo for badge (passport style, no filters)
• Compliance and confidentiality documentation to be completed prior to start

• Locals accepted but at a lower rate
• Video interview may be required depending on candidate eligibility
