Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Travel/Contract)
Location: Akron, Ohio
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Position: CT Tech
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Responsibilities include CT procedures
- 1 call day per month, weekend rotation, and holiday shifts as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Ohio
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
Compliance & Onboarding Requirements
Background Checks
- Government-issued photo ID required and must be carried on assignment
- Background check prior to start, including FCRA compliant 7-year search
- Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
- FBI and BCI fingerprinting within 12 months of start, updated annually
- Fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
- Facility will conduct additional fingerprinting onsite
Health & Immunization
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming ability to perform essential job functions
- Fit mask (3M N95) fit test within 12 months, updated annually
- Immunizations required:
- Tdap (every 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 6 months of start
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or positive titer
- Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
- Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive titer
- Annual flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (declinations not accepted)
- 10-panel drug screen, updated annually (instant drug screens not accepted)
Competencies & Training
- Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start, updated annually
- Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome)
- Annual orientation safety manual acknowledgement
Documentation
- Employment application including 3 years prior work history with at least 2 years in acute care and similar specialty
- Two professional references within 1 year of start from a manager, supervisor, or director (co-worker references not accepted)
- State license primary source verification within 30 days of start
- Photo for badge required prior to start
Additional Notes
- Candidates can start with fingerprinting results pending if fingerprinting is completed prior to start
- Travelers with breaks in employment of 2+ months must update background checks
- Modules and onboarding must be completed before clearance to start
- Facility requires strict adherence to immunization and drug screening policies
