Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Outpatient Surgery

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Position involves working in an outpatient surgery setting.
• Shift: 8-hour shifts scheduled between 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
• Weekend work is occasional.
• No floating or on-call requirements.
• Scheduling requests cannot be accommodated.
• Candidates must have an active nursing license at the time of application.
• First-time travelers are accepted.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in Ambulatory and Operating Room (OR) nursing.
• Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (AHA or ARC only)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.

Additional Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year confirming ability to meet essential job functions.
• Fit test for respiratory protection within 1 year, updated annually.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year; if history of positive TB, additional documentation required.
• Immunizations/vaccinations required:

  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer)
  • Hepatitis B vaccine series, titer, or declination
  • Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination (mandatory during flu season)
• Drug screening panel within 1 year (excluding marijuana/THC).
• Background check including criminal history and education verification.
• Two professional references required, at least one supervisory.

Important Notes

• No pending licenses accepted; license must be active at submission.
• Candidates must comply with facility-specific onboarding documents and policies, including code of conduct, attendance, job hazard analysis, social media policy, and confidentiality agreements.
• EKG and medication competency assessments may be required during orientation.
• Fire safety training and certification required within the first 6 months of employment.
• Photo for badge must meet strict requirements (passport-style photo).
• Prior travel experience is not required for this position.
