Job Description

• Emergency Room nurse position with the ability to float to MedSurg as needed.
• Experience or willingness to float to OB is a plus but not required.
• Weekend work is required.
• Must confirm ability to float before applying.
• Locals are accepted.
• Block scheduling may be accommodated depending on needs.
• Housing arrangements should be researched prior to submission.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Oregon
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification

Additional Requirements

• Weekend shifts required.
• Proof of license must be provided at time of submission.
• Time off requests (RTO) must be approved at time of submission; not approved after offer. Not all holidays can be taken off.

Health and Compliance Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start date.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start.
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella.
• 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start.
• Seasonal flu vaccination or documented declination required.
• COVID-19 vaccination card required per Oregon state rules; religious or medical exemptions require facility-specific exemption forms.

Background and Credentialing

• Government-issued photo ID required.
• Standard background checks including 7-year history, sex offender registry, and federal exclusions must be completed.
• Annual EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required.
• Facility-specific confidentiality, HIPAA, compliance, and privacy agreements must be completed prior to start.

Notes

• Scrub color is flexible; any colors or patterns are acceptable.
• Parking cost is not applicable.
• On-call is not required for this position.

This position is suitable for first-time travel nurses. Prior travel experience is not required.
