Registered Nurse (CCU) - Travel/Contract Position

Location: Athens, Georgia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)

Patient Ratios: Typically 1:5-6 (LTAC setting)

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Georgia
Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Coronary Care Unit (CCU)
Experience in a Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) setting
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Skills in tracheostomy (trachs) care
ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

Unexpired government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license or state ID)
Background checks within 1 year, including SS trace, county searches (7 years), nationwide sex offender search
EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
Transcript/Diploma verification (High School diploma required)
NURSYS license verification prior to start
Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
Signed acknowledgment of facility safety and orientation manuals
Photo for badge (clear, plain background)
Review and completion of staff orientation, key clinical policies, dress code, and onboarding forms

Health & Immunization Requirements

Physical exam within 12 months prior to start
Fit testing for N95 mask within past year (annual update required)
Immunizations/vaccinations or documented immunity for:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
Negative TB test (2-step PPD, Q-Gold, T-SPOT, or chest X-ray) within 6 months prior to start (annual update required)
TB questionnaire completed within 6 months prior to start
Drug screening within 12 months prior to start
Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31)
COVID-19 vaccination or declination

Additional Requirements

Two professional references within 3 years of hire
