Job Description

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute care hospital/inpatient setting required.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system required.
• Local candidates allowed at the same rate.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Virginia.
• Minimum 2 years of Physical Therapist experience, including experience within the last year.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system.

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Criminal background check within 60 days of start, including all states lived/worked in past 7 years.
• Statewide and nationwide background checks including sex offender registry.
• Education verification with proof of diploma or official transcripts.
• Drug testing within 30-60 days of start (9-panel minimum, instant screens not accepted).
• Physical exam within 1 year attesting ability to meet physical demands of the position.
• Immunizations and titers required: Tdap, TB testing (Q-gold/T-spot or PPD), Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella. Boosters required if titers are low.
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required.
• Medical fit mask test within 1 year prior to start.

Additional Requirements

• Completion of orientation modules and facility-specific competency exams.
• HIPAA confidentiality agreement and safety manual acknowledgment required prior to start.
• Virginia State Police fingerprinting and CPS (Central Registry) background checks required for certain units; results may pend but proof of submission must be on file.
• Two professional references required.
• Complete application/resume required.
• Annual skills checklist update required.

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
• Certifications expiring within 1 month of contract start will not be accepted. No onsite renewals offered; renewals must be scheduled by the agency.
• Candidates must be able to provide a suitable photo for badge issuance prior to start.
