Job Opportunity: Telemetry Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Dubois, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Telemetry Registered Nurse for a travel/contract position. This role requires floating between units and working every other weekend. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Required Qualifications

• License: Valid Pennsylvania RN license or Compact RN license in hand
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • NIH Stroke Certification (must be renewed annually)
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience (highest required)
• Other:

  • Float required
  • Scrubs color: Navy blue or White

Prior Travel Experience

• Not required (first timers OK)

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID required
• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
• PA Child Abuse Search (Childline) within 1 year of start
• PA FBI Fingerprinting required within 12 months of start (must be completed in PA)
• Education verification required
• 2 professional references within 3 years of hire
• Skills checklist required annually

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test (PPD, Q Gold, or TSpot) within 6 months or chest X-ray within 5 years
• Required vaccinations or documented declinations for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
  • Seasonal Flu (vaccine or declination during flu season Nov-April)
  • COVID-19 (vaccine or declination)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Alcohol breathalyzer test not required for this location

Competency Requirements

• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Competency exam as applicable

Additional Certifications (as applicable)

• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) or Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification required annually for Emergency Department, Behavioral Health, and Acute Care Units (verify if applicable)
• Comprehensive Crisis Management certification accepted in lieu of MAB/CPI for applicable units

Scheduling

• Every other weekend required
