Job Summary
- Position: LTAC MS/Tele RN (Nights)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Patient Ratios: 1:6
- Floating: Yes, within scope to lower level of care based on critical staffing needs
- Block Scheduling: Not available
- Local Radius Rule: 75 miles (locals not accepted)
- On-call: Yes (including holiday coverage)
- Weekend Requirement: As needed
- First-time travelers accepted
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience preferred; candidates with 1+ year will be reviewed
- Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required
Required Certifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or AHA RQI acceptable
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or AHA RQI acceptable
- NIH Stroke Certification (preferred, per unit descriptions)
- Pass/Fail Testing on first day:
- Cardiac Arrhythmia Test
- Medication Dosage Calculation Test
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
- State RN License (Primary Source Verification required)
- NURSYS Verification (required for all RNs)
Testing & Competencies
- Must pass arrhythmia and medication tests on the first day (two attempts allowed)
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required within 1 year and updated annually
- Attendance policy: Missing more than two shifts per 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may lead to contract review/cancellation
Licensure
- South Carolina RN license required (pending license accepted if obtained before start)
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical Exam within 1 year, updated annually
- Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 3 months of start (Qgold, Tspot preferred)
- Immunizations or exemptions required for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (vaccine series, positive titer, or declination)
- Varicella
- Flu vaccination or declination required for flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31)
- COVID-19 vaccination (Dose 1 and 2) required or declination form
- Drug Testing within 60 days of start (10 panel + Oxycodone + Marijuana)
- Respirator Safety Clearance within 1 year if respirator use is required
Background & Compliance
- 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
- Education verification required (RN: associates, bachelors, masters, or doctorate)
- Employment application required
- References: 2 references within 1 year of start (Qualivis requirement)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
Additional Information
- Must be able to pass fit test (shaving may be required)
- On-call shifts: 2 on-call or 2 additional shifts per 6 weeks required
- Guaranteed hours based on signed contract
- Facility attendance policy strictly enforced
