Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Mountain Home, Arkansas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

Call required 9 to 10 days per month.
Provide direct patient care, medication administration, and sterilization in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
Assist physicians with cardiovascular procedures and special interventions.
Act as patient advocate during procedures.

Requirements

ADN and current Arkansas nursing license in good standing or Compact State license.
BLS & ACLS certifications (AHA accepted).
Minimum of 2 years nursing experience (highest required).
Safety sensitive position under Arkansas Act 593 (Medical Marijuana regulations).

Preferred

BSN or MSN degree.

Certifications & Competencies

BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
Other certifications as applicable (PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, EFM, ENPC, NIH Stroke Certification) – refer to job details for applicability.
Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required as applicable.
Competency exam required within 1 year of start.

Background & Compliance Checks

7-year background check required within 6 months of start; annual updates required.
EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start.
Education verification and sex offender searches (national and state-specific) required within 30 days of start.
State-specific criminal history checks required within 30 days of start.

Health & Immunization Requirements

Physical exam required within 1 year of start (time sensitive: must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing).
Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year of start; annual TB questionnaire required.
Immunizations or positive titers required for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (positive titer, series, or declination accepted)
- Varicella
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; instant tests not accepted.
Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific declination required during flu season (10/1 - 3/31).
COVID vaccination documentation required or exemption/declination notification.

Documentation & Other Requirements

Two professional references required (preferably within 2 years, acceptable up to 3 years).
Resume or employment application required.
Skills checklist and work history verification (past 2 years) required.
Facility-specific documents such as personal appearance/dress code, pre-screening compliance checklist, and TB questionnaire must be reviewed and completed prior to start.
Orientation and safety manual acknowledgments required, updated annually.
