Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Experience Requirements

Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
Open to first-time travelers (no prior travel experience required)

Work Schedule

Night shifts in a rehabilitation setting
Option to work either 36 or 48 hours per week

Certifications Required

BLS (Basic Life Support) required
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) as applicable
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) as applicable
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) as applicable
CHEMO certification as applicable
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) as applicable
Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) as applicable
NIH Stroke Certification as applicable (expires annually)
CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) as applicable

Licensure and Verification

Primary source online verification of state nursing license required
NURSYS verification required for RN licenses
Education verification required (highest level of education must be verified)

Background and Compliance Checks

7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required upon hire
Fingerprinting required onsite during orientation (New Mexico placements only)
Work history verification for the past 7 years required

Health and Immunization Requirements

Physical exam within 12 months of start
Fit mask test within 1 year of start, must be renewed annually
Adult Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
TB questionnaire for positive TB results, renewed annually
Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination accepted
Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or physician-documented history required
Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required

Competency Requirements

Medication test/pharmacology competency exam (minimum 80% score or meet Angoff score)
Color blind testing (online version acceptable)
Competency exams as applicable to profession (minimum 80% or meet Angoff score)
Annual core testing or signed HIPAA form for subcontractors

Driver’s license or state ID required
Completion of employment application/resume
Unit-specific skills checklist required annually
