Job Opportunity: LVN / LPN - Travel/Contract
Location: Lacey, Washington
Contract Length: 20 weeks (interpreted from 20)
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8-hour days (40 billable hours/week)
Start Date: ASAP through 6/17/2026
Job Description
- 1:1 LVN to support a special needs student with academics in the classroom.
- Will accompany and ride the bus to and from school with the student.
- Transportation is required (candidate must have their own).
- Candidates should be local to the area.
Requirements
- Valid Washington LPN License (ESA certification is not required).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC) required.
- Must meet educational requirements for paraprofessionals:
- High school diploma or equivalent AND one of the following:
- Qualifying score on an approved paraeducator assessment,
- Associate degree or higher from an accredited institution, or
- Completion of 72 quarter or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher from an accredited college or university.
- Fingerprinting through Washington OSPI is required (candidate responsible for completing).
- Background checks required, including:
- Criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually, covering last 7 years of locations lived/worked/schooled.
- WA State Patrol Search (WSP/WATCH) within 12 months of start.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 1 year of start, updated annually.
- NURSYS verification required for LPN/LVN licenses.
- Educational Services - Mandatory Reporter training required (must be updated annually).
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement required (annual update).
- Various state and facility-specific forms and attestations required annually (e.g., Responsible Use, Access Request).
Certifications & Verifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- State License verification required (Washington LPN license).
- NURSYS verification required.
- Educational Services State Teaching Certificate and Credential verifications may be required depending on assignment specifics.
