Job Opportunity: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST)
Location: Denver, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Surgical Services
- Shift: 4 days per week, 9.5 hours per day
- Years of Experience Required: 2 years
- First-timers Accepted: Yes

Required Certifications and Licenses
- CO DORA state license (required)
- NBSTSA certification (required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and knee scopes experience required
- Ophthalmology / Eye experience required (hard stop)
Job Responsibilities and Work Environment
- Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs (inpatient/outpatient OR between Pav A and Pav L)
- May be asked to cover night shift on a holiday when Pav L is closed
- Shift flips can occur 1 week every 4 weeks during the contract, as needed
- Locals within 75 miles accepted
Required Documentation and Compliance
- I-9 and E-Verify documentation required
- Valid driver's license or government-issued ID
- Background checks including 7-year search, social security trace, county searches, national/federal search, CO statewide search, and others as applicable
- State-specific checks such as Colorado CAPS and fingerprinting for behavioral health professions (if applicable)
- Employment application with 7 years of employment history and verification
- Professional references (2 within last 3 years)
- Skills checklist current within last year (for clinical positions)
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 12 months of start, updated annually
- N95 Fit Mask test within 12 months prior to start, updated annually
- Immunizations/vaccine records or immune titers required for:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B (proof of titer or vaccine series)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start (annual updates required for certain departments)
- Drug testing: 10-panel within 30 days of assignment start and within 48 hours of signing contract; annual testing required
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required for flu season (exemptions are time sensitive)
- COVID-19 vaccination exemptions accepted for medical or religious reasons
Competency Requirements
- Annual competency exams with passing scores (medication test, core competencies)
- OSHA mandatory training for all clinical positions
Additional Notes
- Must have experience with ACLS and knee scopes
- Ophthalmology/Eye experience is a strict requirement
- Floating between units and shift flexibility required
- Locals within 75 miles are accepted
