Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Location: Chula Vista, California

Job Description

Provide individualized, holistic care to patients and their families, supporting their progress toward self-identified goals.
Perform nursing processes including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver safe, therapeutic, and efficient care.
Promote quality outcomes and collaborate with healthcare team members to manage complex or high-risk clinical situations.
Advocate for patients and families to ensure excellent and satisfying care experiences.
Assess patient and family needs, prioritize goals, and document assessment data.
Develop, implement, and adapt comprehensive, age- and culturally-appropriate care plans using nursing interventions.
Evaluate patient and family progress toward goals and adjust care plans as needed.
Identify and address patient/family educational needs through individualized teaching plans.
Recognize communication barriers and seek interdisciplinary expertise to establish therapeutic relationships.
Delegate care tasks appropriately within the scope of practice of healthcare team members.
Coordinate and communicate with healthcare team and ancillary staff to support patient progress and workflow.

Required Qualifications

License: California Registered Nurse (RN) license
Certifications:
- CPR
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) Advanced or Intermediate (required)
- NURCREEFM (preferred)
