Job Description

• Perform radiographic, fluoroscopic, and portable procedures as requested by a physician to assist in diagnosis and treatment.
• Conduct diagnostic procedures such as chest, extremities, spines, catheter placements, etc.
• Prepare and assist patients during procedures, including helping them to restrooms, providing blankets, and ensuring proper dressing.
• Report changes in patient condition for follow-up.
• Transport patients by stretcher, bed, wheelchair, or walking, providing care during transport and in the department.
• Assist patients with lifting and moving on/off x-ray tables; provide bedpans and urinals as needed.
• Report equipment malfunctions and assist with special assignments.
• Clean work area and replenish supplies.
• Assist with emergency medical treatment under physician direction.
• Assist with scheduling patient exams.
• Attend department meetings and in-services.
• Administer contrast media and flush lines with normal saline under supervision.
• Under direct supervision of the Radiologist, may prepare Lidocaine/buffered Lidocaine for procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a licensed Radiology Technologist.
• CRT certificate and Fluoroscopy license.
• ARRT registration or ARRT eligible.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification per American Heart Association standards.
• Valid Driver’s License.
