Job Opportunity: Radiologic Technologist - Computed Tomography (CT)
Location: Detroit, Michigan
Employment Type: Staffing - Supplier Sourced
Contract Length: 13 weeks (89 days ≈ 13 weeks)
Job Summary
Under general supervision, perform computerized tomographic radiological procedures on patients. May also perform general diagnostic radiology examinations and related duties.
Essential Functions
- Explain examination procedures and prepare patients for CT scans.
- Review clinical data and obtain additional patient medical history as needed.
- Prepare procedure room and maintain supplies.
- Analyze anatomical structures, set up equipment, and perform CT scans.
- Manually control equipment to obtain proper diagnostic images.
- Administer intravenous contrast media using power injectors; monitor patients for reactions and provide immediate care if needed.
- Prepare and set up sterile equipment and supplies; assist Radiologist with complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies.
- Apply radiation protection principles (shielding, dose reduction, ALARA techniques).
- Manage image quality and delivery into PACS; complete study indexing in Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Review and confirm clinical protocols with Radiologist before studies.
- Maintain documentation in medical records and radiology systems to support clinical and billing functions.
- Demonstrate excellent team member standards including communication, respect, and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent or completion of required continuing medical education hours.
- Current ARRT certification and ARRT (CT) certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience, with experience within the last year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Ability to operate CT equipment effectively.
- Must meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities including communication, ownership, motivation, sensitivity, excellence, teamwork, and respect.
- Must be self-directed, flexible, committed to teamwork, open to learning, and respectful of diversity.
- Ability to work in hospital fixed units or ambulatory mobile units.
- Awareness of radiation safety and exposure risks; ability to follow proper precautions.
- Ability to occasionally lift/move equipment or patients over 10 lbs.
Experience Requirements
- Specialty: Radiologic Technologist - Computed Tomography
- Required Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year

- Not required.
Physical Demands / Working Conditions
- Potential exposure to radiation and high-voltage equipment.
- Potential exposure to contagious patients.
- May require occasional lifting/moving of equipment or patients over 10 lbs.
