Overview

• Travel assignment in Red Bud, Illinois
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Start: ASAP
• Guaranteed hours: 32 hours per week
• Primary location: inpatient and swing bed unit
• Shift: typically 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST, with occasional schedule changes to accommodate after-school outpatient or supervisor inpatient/swing bed dinner coverage
• No float requirement
• No on-call or callback requirement
• No weekend or holiday requirement
• No local candidates within a 40-mile radius

Required Qualifications

• Illinois Speech Therapist License
• BLS
• 3+ years of experience
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills

Preferred

• Hard worker
• Resilient and able to manage change well
• Social candidates

Clinical Focus

• Cognitive assessments and management
• Swallowing assessments and management, including modified barium swallow studies
• Outpatient care for adults and pediatrics
• Patient population is mostly geriatric, with pediatric outpatients also seen

Unit Details

• Inpatient and swing bed unit
• Full-time PT and OT present
• Team-based care approach for inpatient and outpatient services

Charting / Systems

• MedHost
• WebPT
• PACS for viewing modified barium swallow studies

Other Notes

• Scrub colors: dark scrub pants, navy, gray, black, and therapy-related T-shirts/sweatshirts
• COVID-19 vaccine not required, subject to change
• Guaranteed set hours per week except during holidays when the unit is closed
