Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Rehabilitation

Location: Wausau, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel Contract

Contract Details

• Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Hours: 40 hours per week, 12-hour variable shifts (7a-7:30p, 7p-7:30a)
• Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday rotation
• Float: Required to float to all inpatient units as needed
• On Call: May be placed on call during low census; minimum 2-hour call back

Unit Information

• Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit
• 12 beds
• Patient ratio: 1:4-1:6 (PM), 1:8 (Nights)
• Primary cases: Stroke, Trauma, Debility, Amputation, Cardiac

Required Qualifications

• License: Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year inpatient hospital experience required
  • 1 year Medical Surgical Rehab experience preferred but not required; nurses with medical/surgical background acceptable
• Charting: Epic experience preferred
• Skills: Rehabilitation knowledge essential
• Other: Must be resilient, adaptable to change, and socially engaged

Additional Information

• Contractors must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• 36 hours of low census unbillable hours eligible; call back pay applies if called in during these hours
• Flu and COVID vaccination policy: Travelers declining vaccination must wear a mask at all times during flu season per facility policy; non-compliance may result in corrective action
