Pediatric Emergency Room RN
Overview
- Travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in Pediatric Emergency Room.
- Contract length: 13 weeks.
- Start date: ASAP.
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week.
- Shift: 12-hour days, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM.
- Weekend rotation: Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
- Holiday rotation: As it falls on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Wisconsin.
- BLS issued by American Heart Association.
- PALS issued by American Heart Association.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Pediatrics ER - Emergency Room (1.5 years of experience).
- Pediatrics ER - Emergency Room experience within the last year.
- One completed travel assignment.
- Experience in an Emergency Department setting.
- Experience with conscious or moderate sedation.
- Experience with Epic.
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS.
- TNCC.
- Level I Trauma experience.
- Epic.
Unit / Setting
- Level 1, efficient fast-paced 50-bed ED.
- Mostly low-acuity cases, with high-acuity patients as well.
- Sees 200-280 visits per day.
- Fast track area and higher-acuity area.
- Fast track closes by 1 am.
Float / Assignment Notes
- Caregivers may be floated to sit with a patient and will not perform actual inpatient nursing duties.
Additional Notes
- Covid vaccine is no longer required.
- Scrub colors: Any professional scrubs.
