Radiology Technician - West Burlington, Iowa

Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Operate stationary and mobile radiographic equipment in general radiography, surgery, and other areas as needed.
  • Produce quality diagnostic images as directed by radiologists and physicians.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of general anatomy, technical factors, digital radiography (DR) imaging fundamentals, radiation protection, and basic computer skills.
  • Competent in all General X-ray procedures, Surgical and Special Procedures.
  • ARRT certification required.
  • Variable 8-hour shifts starting as early as 6:15 AM.

Required Credentials & Compliance for Onboarding

Certifications & Licenses

  • BLS (Basic Life Support): Required for clinical positions (AHA or ARC accepted).
  • Professional License/Certificate Verification: Primary source verification within 30 days of start.
  • ARRT Certification: Required for Radiology Technicians.

Education & Professional Verification

  • Education must be verified through a third party; diploma and/or transcripts may be required if verification is unavailable.
  • Resume or professional profile required.
  • Two professional references required, including one from a supervisor.

Health & Immunizations

  • Drug Screen: 10-panel within 30 days of start (THC not required).
  • Influenza Vaccine: Required annually by December 1 (vaccine or facility declination accepted).
  • COVID-19 Vaccine: Declination accepted.
  • MMR: Two vaccines or positive titer; booster or declination accepted if low/equivocal.
  • Hepatitis B: Two vaccines or positive titer; booster or declination accepted if low/equivocal.
  • Varicella: Two vaccines or positive titer; booster or declination accepted if low/equivocal.
  • Tdap: Valid for 10 years; declinations accepted.
  • TB Test: Negative test within past year (TSPOT or QuantiFERON IGG). If history of positive TB, additional documentation required.
  • Health Statement: Physician statement within last 12 months.
  • Fit Test: Completed prior to start with approved respirators.

Background & Compliance Checks

  • Background check within 30 days of start including SS trace, county searches, nationwide sex offender registry.
  • Iowa Adult and Child Abuse registry check.
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start.
  • SING check within 30 days of start.
  • NSO and OFAC checks within 30 days of start.
  • I-9 attestation on agency letterhead.
  • Contract employee data sheet.
  • OSHA questionnaire completed by candidate.
  • Evergreen Link completion required within 48 hours of offer acceptance for system access.

Identification

  • Unexpired government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).

Skills & Training

  • GRH Skills Checklist completed within 12 months (does not expire).
  • Pre-orientation computer-based learning (CBL) acknowledgement form.

Additional

  • Color vision verification required.

This position requires thorough credentialing and compliance with health and safety standards prior to start.
