Job Details

• Work hours: 06:30 AM - 05:00 PM
• On-call requirements: Typically 2 weekdays and every 2nd to 3rd weekend, plus one on-call holiday if applicable
• Must be a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
• Open Heart surgery experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

• BLS (American Heart Association certification)
• License/Certificate verification dated within 30 days of start

Health & Safety

• Fit Test
• 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC)
• COVID-19 vaccine proof (including Sept 2025 booster), declination or exemption accepted except in CA or IL
• Influenza vaccine proof or declination for current flu season
• MMR: Proof of 2 vaccinations or IgG titer lab report
• Hepatitis B: Must have started vaccination series prior to start (titers not accepted)
• Varicella: Proof of 1 vaccination or IgG titer lab report
• 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) with chest x-ray if positive TB (per state requirements)
• Physical/Health Statement confirming fitness to work within the last year
• Tdap vaccine (declinations accepted if no pediatric interaction)

• Criminal Background Check (Federal, Nationwide, County for last 7 years, including SSN verification)
• Education Verification (highest academic degree or diploma/GED)
• EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) report dated within 30 days
• GSA/OIG exclusion check dated within 30 days
• Joint Commission CORE Exam within the last year
• NSO (National Sex Offender) check dated within 30 days, including statewide check for Michigan
• System Access Form (to be completed and uploaded one week before start)

Competency & Skills

• Specialty Specific Competency Testing completed within the last year
• Skills Checklist provided by agency for clinical contractors

Summary

This position requires a certified Surgical Technician with open heart surgery experience, available for a 13-week contract in Muskegon, MI. Candidates must meet extensive credentialing, health, and compliance requirements prior to onboarding. On-call availability during weekdays, weekends, and holidays is expected.
