Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Per Diem) - Weekends Only, Nights

Location: Redding, California
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (approximately 52 weeks)
Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM (Night Shift)
Schedule: Weekends only

Job Summary

Perform phlebotomy (skin puncture or venipuncture) on patients of all ages to obtain blood specimens for laboratory analysis.
Operate under supervision of Laboratory Director/Manager/Supervisor.
Process specimens in microbiology, immunology, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, chemistry, and blood bank.
Handle specimen referral to reference laboratories.
Perform clerical duties including data entry, filing, telephone communication.
Maintain cleanliness and stock supplies in laboratory work areas.
Assist with sample pickup, sorting, inventory, ordering supplies, and other department tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Valid Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license in California.
Minimum of 1 year of Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) experience, including experience within the last year.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
Completion of workplace violence prevention training (DCI/BVP).
