Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery for a travel assignment. The position involves working day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:00 PM, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week (3 shifts of 12 hours each). Experience with mother and baby care is required, with postpartum and vaginal examination experience considered a plus. The role includes caring for COVID-19 patients.

Charting System: EPIC
Scrubs: Navy or Royal Blue

Required Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license for Texas
• BSN degree preferred
• Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Basic/AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification preferred
• Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing, including mother and baby care
• Postpartum and vaginal examination experience preferred
• Ability to work with COVID-19 patients

Required Compliance and Testing

• Drug screening (minimum 10-panel test) within 60 days of start
• Annual respirator fit test
• COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses plus booster) or documented declination
• MMR vaccination or positive titer showing immunity
• Hepatitis B vaccination (declinations not accepted)
• Influenza vaccine or declination (declinations not accepted in some locations)
• TB test within one year of start date
• Varicella vaccination or immunity proof
• Tdap vaccination (declinations not accepted in some locations)
• National criminal background check within one year of start date
• Employment eligibility verification (Form I-9)
• Various competency and specialty exams with minimum passing scores (80% or higher)

Additional Requirements

• Driver’s license, state ID, or passport
• Two professional references required (one must be from a manager or direct supervisor)
• Resume must be up to date and reflect recent work history
• Name verification affidavit if discrepancies exist between credentials

Schedule

• Day shift: 6:45 AM – 7:00 PM
• 36 hours per week (3 shifts of 12 hours)
