Job Opportunity: RN Step Down - Kansas City, Kansas

Position Details

  • Specialty: RN Step Down
  • Location: Kansas City, Kansas
  • Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
  • Shift: Day shift on med/surg step down unit
  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, with every third weekend
  • Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Requirements

  • Comfortable managing Cardizem and Heparin drips
  • Experience with telemetry monitoring

Required Credentials and Certifications

  • Licenses:
    • Valid nursing license verified through Nursys
    • Primary source verification of professional license and certifications within 30 days of start
  • Certifications:
    • BLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
    • ACLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
    • NIHSS
    • DCI/BVP (Workplace Violence Prevention training)
  • Testing and Exams:
    • Prime Basic Pharmacology Exam (minimum 80%)
    • Prime Basic Rhythm Interpretation Screening (minimum 80%)
    • Prime Core Competencies Exam (minimum 80%)
    • Prime Skills Checklist
    • Prime Specialty Exam (minimum 80%)
  • Health and Immunizations:
    • COVID-19 Vaccine (2 doses plus booster or declination completed)
    • MMR (proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer)
    • Hepatitis B (no declinations accepted)
    • Influenza Vaccine or declination (required Nov 1 - Mar 31)
    • TB Test (within 1 year of start date)
    • Varicella (vaccination or immunity titer)
    • Tdap (declinations not accepted in some regions)
    • Annual Respirator Fit Test (must be completed prior to start if not available onsite)
    • Physical/Health Statement (clear to work, completed annually or within 60 days of start)
  • Other Requirements:
    • Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport
    • National Criminal Background Check within one year of start date (with some state-specific exceptions)
    • Prime Agency Attestation (completed after all credentials are uploaded)
    • Prime SAM/EPLS exclusion check
    • Prime Form I-9 (Employment eligibility verification; agency attestation accepted)
    • Prime Orientation Packet (includes Essentials Form and Post Test)
    • Prime Education Verification
    • Prime OIG check
    • Prime Resume and two professional references (required for submission)
    • Prime Job Description signed by employee
    • Prime Drug Screening (minimum 10-panel test including THC, within 60 days of start)

  • Prime Badge Photo (clear headshot)
  • Name Verification Affidavit (if name discrepancies exist)
