Job Opportunity: RN Surgery (Traveler)

Location: Woonsocket, Rhode Island
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Role: Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgery
• Required Experience: Minimum 2+ years recent OR nursing experience
• Specialty Experience: Must have experience with C-Sections and robotic surgeries
• Education: BSN preferred
• Shift: Day shift, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• On-call: Required

Required Certifications & Licenses

• Current BCLS (AHA)
• Current ACLS (AHA)
• Valid RN license (Nursys verification required)

Experience Requirements

• Specialty: 2+ years recent OR nursing experience including C-Sections and robotic surgery
• Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required

Onboarding & Compliance Requirements

• Drug Screening: Minimum 10-panel test including THC (within 60 days of start)
• Background Check: National criminal background check within one year of start date
• Immunizations & Health:

  • COVID-19 vaccine and booster (or declination)
  • MMR (proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer)
  • Hepatitis B (declinations not accepted)
  • Influenza vaccine or declination (optional)
  • TB test within one year of start date
  • Varicella vaccination or immunity titer
  • Tdap (declinations not accepted)
• Physical/Health Statement: Must be cleared to work, completed annually or within 60 days of start
• Fit Test: Annual respirator fit test required

Testing & Competency Requirements

• Prime Basic Pharmacology Exam (minimum 80%)
• Prime Basic Rhythm Interpretation Screening (minimum 80%)
• Prime Core Competencies Exam (minimum 80%)
• Prime Specialty Exam (minimum 80%)
• Prime Skills Checklist submission required

Additional Requirements

• Driver’s license, State ID, or Passport required for onboarding
• Professional and personal health history documentation required
• Agency attestation and employment eligibility verification (Form I-9) required
• Various facility-specific orientation and compliance documents to be completed

This position is ideal for experienced OR RNs with surgical specialty skills in C-Sections and robotic procedures seeking a 13-week travel assignment on day shift with on-call responsibilities.
