Job Opportunity: LVN / LPN (Travel/Contract)

Setting: Outpatient Clinic

Position Details

• Specialty: LVN/OBGYN
• Shift: 8-hour shifts between 6:45 AM and 6:00 PM
• Schedule: No schedule changes or restrictions accommodated
• Float Locations: Occasionally to Los Feliz and Playa Vista (rare)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements

• Licenses & Certifications:

  • California LVN License (active, no pending license accepted)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
  • IV/Blood Draw Certification (proficient with blood draws)
• Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years LVN experience in primary care or urgent care outpatient settings
  • L&D experience accepted if outpatient clinic experience is also present
• Technical Skills:

  • Experience with Epic electronic health record system
• Vaccinations:

  • Flu vaccination required (no declinations or exemptions allowed)
• Other:

  • Must be willing to float within scope to meet facility needs
  • Locals accepted within a 50-mile radius
  • No on-call required
  • No weekend requirement

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with:

  • PAP smears, Coplo, Leep, D&C, EMB
  • IUD insertions/removals, Nexplanon, NST
  • Labor & Delivery experience

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID required
• I9 verification required
• Background check including:

  • 7-year criminal history, SSN trace, sex offender search, federal district court search, nationwide search
  • International criminal searches if lived outside the U.S. in last 7 years
• Education verification and proof of highest medical degree (diploma or transcript)
• Drug screening panel within 1 year of start (excluding Marijuana/THC)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• Required health immunizations and titers:

  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (vaccine series, titer, or declination)
  • Varicella (positive titer, vaccine proof, or history)
• Flu vaccination documentation mandatory for flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30)
• Two professional references required (one supervisory)

Additional Certifications (may be required or recommended)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• CHEMO (Chemotherapy certification)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
• Fire Card (required if working at facility for 6 months)

• No schedule flexibility; strict adherence to assigned shifts required

This position is ideal for experienced LVNs with outpatient or urgent care experience, proficient in Epic, and comfortable working in an OBGYN outpatient clinic setting with no schedule flexibility.
