Job Description

Perform routine nursing assignments and develop competence through structured work.
Accountable for assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care.
Provide direct patient care, patient/family education, and manage transitions of care.
Deliver holistic, individualized care considering psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.
Foster collaborative relationships with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare providers through effective communication.

Requirements

California Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure
Minimum 3 years of nursing experience
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
Ambulatory surgery/endoscopy experience within the past 2 years
Experience with EPIC electronic health record system

Contract Length

13 weeks

Certifications & Verifications (as applicable)

ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications (AHA or ARC only)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) if applicable
Critical Care RN (CCRN) if applicable
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) if applicable
Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) if applicable
State License verification and NURSYS verification within 30 days of start
Medication/Pharmacology competency exams as required
Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam if applicable
Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) if applicable
IV Certification for applicable roles
Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) training may be completed onsite during orientation
NIH Stroke Certification as required

Background Checks & Compliance

7-year background check required within 6 months of start
Sex Offender Search within 90 days of start
FACIS Level 3 screening within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter
Education verification (Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred)
EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required and updated annually
Transcript/Diploma verification as needed
Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana due to CA law)
Employment history verification for up to 7 years with no gaps over 30 days
References: 2 professional references required (Aya requirement, not client)

Health & Immunization Requirements

Physical exam within 1 year of start (must clear candidate for work)
Fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually (exceptions apply)
Immunizations and titers required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days, renewed annually
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
- Hepatitis B series or declination
- Varicella immunity or vaccination
- Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30) or signed declination
Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana)
Color Blind Exam (in-person exam required)
Respiratory Safety clearance prior to start, renewed annually (exceptions apply)
