Job Opportunity: Multi-Registered Ultrasound Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Dayton, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift Details
- Shift: 3rd shift (9:00 PM – 6:30 AM), Tuesday through Friday
- Schedule: 4 days a week, 9 hours per day (4x9 shift, 36 hours total)
- Attire: Wine scrubs
Job Requirements
Education
- Minimum: Associate degree in Allied Health
- Area of Study: Ultrasonography
- Preferred: Graduate of an accredited program
Licensure / Certification / Registration
- Must hold a minimum of two ARDMS-approved registries in practiced specialties, including:
- Abdomen
- OB/GYN
- Vascular Technology (required)
- Echo (preferred but not required)
- Musculoskeletal
- Neurosonology
- Breast
- CPR Certification (American Heart Association) required
- Active membership in ARDMS and ARRT in Ultrasound
- Required license: ARDMS
- Echo Registry preferred for third shift candidates
Experience
- Experience required in at least two ultrasound modalities
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
Background Checks
- 7-year criminal background check including SSN trace, national and multi-state checks, and sex offender registry
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
- Fingerprinting required only for specific units (not required for this position)
Certifications
- ACLS (AHA) required for RNs (not applicable here)
- BLS (AHA) required for all clinical positions
- Other certifications (PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM) as applicable to specific units (not required here)
- State license verification (Ohio) required
- NIH Stroke Certification required for RNs in certain units (not applicable here)
Health and Safety
- Physical exam within 2 years, indicating fitness to work and free of communicable diseases
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (with annual questionnaire if past positive)
- Required immunizations or proof of immunity: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (vaccination series, immune titer, or declination)
- Drug screening: Negative 9 or 10 panel drug screen within 12 months, including marijuana panel
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
- Respiratory safety clearance within 1 year, renewed annually
Other Documentation
- I-9 and E-Verify attestation required
- Government-issued photo ID required
- Proof of name change if applicable
- Residency declaration form if using a Compact Nursing license
- Education verification (primary source) required
- Skills checklist updated within 1 year
- Employment application/resume required
- Two professional references within 2 years (one must be a manager/supervisor) or employment verification if references unavailable
