Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Home Health)
Location: Medford, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Start Date: ASAP
- Shift: 8-hour day shifts only (no 4x10 or 3x12 shifts)
- Patient Ratio: 1:1 (may visit up to 6 patients per day; 30 productivity points standard)
- Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of skilled home health nursing experience
- First-Time Travelers: Not accepted
- Weekend Requirement: No weekends required
- Certifications Required: BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
- On-Call: Not required
- Floating: No floating between units required
- Block Schedule: Not accommodated
- Locals Accepted: Yes, within 50-75 mile radius considered local
- Pending License: Accepted (confirm restrictions with hiring manager)
- Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off up to one shift per pay period (every two weeks)

- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
- Drug screen: 10-panel within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
- Seasonal Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations or declinations required
- Respirator fit testing required for travel candidates (updated annually)
- References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty within last 3 years
- Employment Application: Must include at least last 5 years of employment with explanations for gaps or overlaps
Training & Competency Requirements
- Completion of Providence Health and Services WorkRamp modules prior to start, including:
- Core regulatory requirements for Home Health
- Specialty-specific modules as applicable
- EPIC training modules (must be completed within a week of orientation)
- Competency exams as applicable (medication, pharmacology, fetal monitoring for L&D nurses, etc.)
Additional Notes
- Facility may require completion of float policy acknowledgment (though floating is not expected for this role)
- Must comply with all state-specific background and licensing requirements
- Badge photo required for facility ID
- Physical and health documentation must be current and compliant with Providence standards
