Job Description

  • Role: RN Clinic Triage for Autism and Neurodevelopmental clinic
  • Responsibilities: Triage phone calls related to autism and neurodevelopmental concerns
  • Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of RN experience
  • Pediatric experience preferred but not required
  • Open to first-time travel nurses (no prior travel experience required)

Required Experience

  • Specialty Experience: At least 1 year as a Registered Nurse
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not required

Certifications & Licenses

  • BLS (Basic Life Support): Required for all RNs (AHA or ARC Provider card)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): May be required depending on assignment area; check specifics if applicable
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): Preferred for pediatrics but not mandatory for this role
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program): Not required for this role
  • State RN License: Valid Missouri RN license with primary source verification within 60 days of start
  • NURSYS Verification: Required within 60 days of start
  • Other certifications (e.g., CHEMO, TNCC, EFM) are not required for this position

Background & Compliance Requirements

  • 7-year background check required within 60 days of start
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG exclusion screenings required within 60 days of start
  • International background check required if candidate has traveled outside the USA in the last 7 years
  • Missouri-specific background checks (MO FCSR or MO Caregiver search) must be completed and on file within 60 days of start
  • Drug screening: Negative 7-panel drug test required within 60 days of start
  • Physical exam: Must be completed within 1 year of start and initiated within 48 hours of signing
  • Fit mask test: Valid fit test within 1 year of start required (not required for some non-clinical roles)
  • Immunizations and health screenings:
    • Tdap vaccination within 10 years or approved exemption
    • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year (annual updates required)
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination required
    • Hepatitis B series or positive titer required (declinations not accepted for new candidates)
    • Varicella immunity or vaccination required
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)

Documentation & Other Requirements

  • Photo for badge (new candidates only)
  • Employment application/resume with at least 7 years of employment history, no gaps over 30 days
  • Two professional references within the last 2 years
  • Skills checklist updated annually
  • Completion of facility-specific forms including confidentiality agreements and caregiver screening forms
  • Orientation safety manual acknowledgement and HIPAA compliance

  • This position is a travel/contract role with a 13-week assignment length
