Job Description

Start Date: ASAP
Unit: Cardio Thoracic ICU (CTICU)
Patient Ratios: Average 1:2 (days and nights)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
On-call: No
Floating: Yes, within scope to other high-volume ICUs
Block Schedule: Not accommodated
Guaranteed Hours: Yes
High acuity cardiac ICU requiring knowledgeable, experienced RNs
Must be proficient with Swan-Ganz monitoring

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut (pending license accepted)
Minimum 1 year of CVICU experience within the last year
Experience in Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU)
Experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Proficiency and experience with Swan-Ganz monitoring
