Job Opportunity: EMG Technologist (Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics)

Location: McLean, Virginia (Primary work in Washington DC and satellite clinics in Chevy Chase, MD and DC)
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5x8 hour shifts
• Work Setting: Physician Office required; Adult inpatient preferred
• Equipment: Cadwell preferred
• Flu vaccine is mandatory for all employees
• Travel between primary and satellite clinic locations may be required

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an EMG Technologist
• First-time travelers accepted (no prior travel experience required)

Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) required (AHA or ARC)
• EMG Technologist certification required

Health & Safety

• Flu vaccine required (seasonal vaccination/documentation mandatory)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within the past year, updated annually
• Drug screen within 90 days of start, updated annually
• Annual physical exam confirming ability to work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
• Other immunizations required or documentation of immunity:

  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or signed declination)
  • Varicella (chickenpox)
  • Tdap (preferred within 10 years)
• N95 Fit Test within 9 months of start, updated annually (client may complete onsite if needed)

Background Checks & Documentation

• Criminal background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
• Education verification for highest degree required by position
• Employment application with 7 years of work history (no gaps)
• Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
• Work history verification for minimum 2 years of employment in past 7 years
• Various attestations and competency exams as required

Additional Notes

• Valid driver's license required if driving is an essential job function
• Completion of facility-specific modules and orientation required prior to start
• Annual competency exams and safety manual acknowledgements required
• Strict adherence to facility health and safety policies, including vaccination and drug screening protocols

This position is suitable for EMG Technologists with at least 2 years of experience who are open to travel assignments and meet the certification and health requirements listed above.
